This Privacy Policy describes how Serve Masters LLC (“Pointstopia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit or interact with Pointstopia.com (the “Site”), a blog about traveling on points and miles.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are

The Site is owned and operated by:

Serve Masters LLC 1400 Preston Road, Suite 400 Plano, Texas 75093 Email: privacy@pointstopia.com

For purposes of the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, together the “CCPA”), Serve Masters LLC is the “business” responsible for your personal information collected through the Site.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information we receive from third parties.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password (passwords are stored in encrypted form).
  • Newsletter and marketing. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and your subscription preferences.
  • Comments and submissions. If you leave a comment or contact us, we collect the content of your message, your name or username, and your email address.
  • Payment and billing information. If you purchase a product, membership, or other paid offering, we (or our third-party payment processor) collect billing details such as your name, billing address, and payment card information. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers; payment processing is handled by our payment processor.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, our service providers and we automatically collect:

  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — small data files placed on your device. See Section 4 below.
  • Approximate location — derived from your IP address.
  • Analytics data — how you navigate and interact with the Site.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Advertising and analytics partners who use cookies and similar technologies.
  • Affiliate networks that report on referrals or transactions you complete after clicking a link on our Site.
  • Social media platforms, if you interact with us through them.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
  • Create and manage your account;
  • Send you our newsletter and marketing communications (where you have opted in);
  • Process and fulfill purchases and respond to your requests;
  • Display and measure advertising, including interest-based advertising;
  • Understand how visitors use the Site through analytics;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and serve advertising.

  • Essential cookies are necessary for the Site to function.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how the Site is used (for example, through Google Analytics).
  • Advertising cookies are used by us and third-party ad partners to deliver and measure advertising, including interest-based ads.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the cookie preferences tool on our Site. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Site functions. Many advertising partners also participate in industry opt-out programs, such as those offered by the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).

5. Advertising and Affiliate Relationships

Pointstopia is a blog focused on travel rewards, points, and miles, and we earn revenue through advertising and affiliate relationships.

  • Third-party advertising. We display ads served by third-party ad networks that may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver ads relevant to your interests based on your activity across websites.
  • Affiliate links. Some links on the Site are affiliate links, including links to credit card offers, travel products, and services. If you click an affiliate link and complete an action (such as applying for a card or making a purchase), we may earn a commission. The affiliate or advertiser may directly collect information about your interaction.

The content, opinions, and recommendations on the Site are our own. Advertisers and affiliate partners do not control our editorial content.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics cookies may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under California law (see Section 8). We may share information with:

  • Service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and analytics.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, as described in Sections 4 and 5.
  • Affiliate networks and advertisers, in connection with the affiliate links you choose to use.
  • Legal and safety recipients, when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Pointstopia, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.

7. Marketing Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter or marketing emails, you may opt out at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email or by contacting us at privacy@pointstopia.com. We may still send you non-promotional messages, such as those related to your account or a transaction.
